Aisle Style: Modern Wedding Gowns

Monique, Douglas, Isaac… how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

Riddle: What has clean lines, structure and is as sleek as they come? No, not an SUV. Rather, a dress. A wedding dress, I should say. That’s right- the dress. Brides-to-be all over the world yearn for rocking a classy but sexy wedding gown for their special day. Have no fear, ladies, you’re in the right hands!

If there is one thing we love in a wedding ensemble, it’s structure. The sleekness, the fabrics, the simplicity… oh my. The look is very chic, very modern, very clean cut. We’re past the tulle skirt faze. It’s time for something a little different. Weddings need a more clean, sophisticated groove. Let the chicness shine through!

Why do we love this particular trend? Got a week? Just kidding. In all honesty, what’s not to love? I think that every girl can appreciate a posh dress. There’s just something about the elegance and the regalness of clean, straight lining on a beautiful wedding dress. That’s something you don’t see everyday. Often brides get swept up in the glamorous ways of a gown that they forget about the magic of simplicity. Less is more, ladies.

If all this pops your champagne cork, then indulge yourself in the little slices of heaven… I mean the photos posted. These photos are proof that perfection does exist. Go on, gorge yourself in a stunning pile of fashion icons. Look forward to gawking at Monique Lhuillier and Isaac Mizrahi’s latest collections. Take a load off, put your feet up, and grab a tissue because you are going to be drooling when you are done with these photos. I guarantee it.

Perfection is an undertstatement.

2 words: ridiculously stunning

Absolutely in love.

Remember to check back next week for another jaw dropping trend! There will be more modern day wedding inspiration waiting for you…

Golden Globes 2012 Red Carpet Review

Miss the Golden Globes last night? Well you didn’t miss much as far as the ceremony goes;  all the real action took place outside on the red carpet, as Hollywood’s elite showed off their finest couture threads.  Red carpet staples like Dior and Versace were abundant, but plenty of starlets went for some of our favorite bridal designers, including Marchesa, Tadashi Shoji, Reem Acra and Jenny Packman. My personal favorites were Diana Lane in Reem Acra pre-fall ’12 and Nicole Kidman in her stunning Versace number.  Check out what the other top stars were wearing below:

Inspiration Board: Dusty Blue & Peach

Perfect for an early spring wedding with an extra touch of soft femininity, forgo the more predictable pink by opting for a dusty blue and peach palette, with strong pops of coral and nude to compliment.  Dress it down for a vintage affair, or add a touch of sparkle for something more glamorous.
